Even though it's mid-November, we decided to head to the beach one night just to smell the wonderful ocean air, feel the sand, and hear the waves. We went to Mission Beach and walked around Belmont Park. When we were driving by Belmont park looking for a parking place, Boedy saw the roller coaster outside his window and excitingly exclaimed "That'd be FUN! That'd be FAST!" I guess reading to your child really works since he's never seen a roller coaster in his life other than in one book we read a month ago. He was fascinated with watching the roller coaster as well as the bumper cars. Here's a picture of the one ride he was big enough to go on- the Merri-go-round. You wouldn't think he thought much of it by looking at the pictures- he's a little different that way. Usually when he tries something new, he is very cautious and thoughtful about it- hence the very solemn expression. Or maybe he was just holding on for dear life.
