Today I realized many times that I am a mom-
You know you are a mom when you place your check book down for one second to do something else, then return a second later to your checkbook only to realize that you have no idea where you just put it....or when you are half way into an intersection when I car coming from the side honks their horn- you get upset and call them a jerk (silently in your head so your kid can't hear), then realize that their was a stop sign (oops, your bad).....or when you are trying to follow directions from mapquest and find yourself on dead end streets multiple times, not because of mapquest, but because you are distracted and realized you aren't reading the directions right on the paper right in fron of you- and in fact you seem to be making up your own imaginary directions....or when your child pulls out one of your earrings from your ears in the morning and you put it in your pocket with your one free hand, but don't take out the other one because you get distracted, then forget about the other one still in your ear, then realize at the end of the day when you are looking at yourself in the mirror as you brush your teeth before bed and realize that you have just talked with a stranger, chatted with a neighbor, run errands at Walgreens, and socialized with the Bishop and his family at his daughter's b-day party, and walked around several other places in public WITH JUST ONE EARRING IN YOUR EAR! Ah, all in a days work. Pretty impressive, don't you think?
