Boedy is in the "Why" stage- asking tons of questions, wanting an explanation for everything. Some deeper subjects, such as death, have even been coming up in our conversations lately. So the other day I was sitting on the couch feeding Gavin his bottle and Boedy came and sat next to us, looked at Gavin very closely and said lovingly in his mimick-mommy-talking-to-Gavin tone of voice "Gavin, some day you are going to die. But, not for a long time. And the tooth fairy is not going to come for a long time too." I had to laugh- it's funny the things that kids at this age pick up and piece together.

the first thing i thought was that somehow boedy thinks death and the tooth fairy are equally bad--cuz wasn't he deathly afraid of the tooth fairy for a while? glad he's reconciled it in his mind now. too funny!
